Flaco’s is a local late-night staple here in Gainesville, Florida, known for their Cuban food and late hours. It’s already kind of an afterparty spot, people pull up after a night out, grab food, and hang for a bit.
With Patio Nights, they leaned into that energy by bringing in a different local DJ every Friday and turning the outside patio into more of a vibe. The goal was to keep things going and make it feel less like a typical after spot and more like part of the night.
I designed weekly flyers for Patio Nights, experimenting with ways to expand the Flaco’s brand through visuals. This included typography experiments, motion graphics, and building a more flexible visual system. Since the brand was limited, I brought in photography from events and free-to-use archival sources, created a color palette that matched Flaco’s, and made sticker elements from their pig illustration and logo.
